Joseph Bloedoorn Jr. (Seph) Obituary

St. Paul, MN - Joseph “Seph” Bloedoorn, 76, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 2, 2025, surrounded by family, after suffering a heart attack while bicycling with his partner of 19 years, Lesley Guyton.

I remember "Seoh" as a wonderful classmate and a great teammate.  Leaving Minnesota after HS left me no time for me to develop a deeper relationship with him.  Sorry to have him taken so soon.

We are all greatly saddened with the news of Joe's passing. Our condolences to his family. My memory of Joe in high school was his high energy and fierce competitiveness. I envied his devotion and passion for cycling. He was fortunate to leave us while persuing his dream.

I was one year older than Seph. We both attended University high school. We were friends and lived 8 blocks apart. Some days I would pick Seph up and we would ride to school on my scooter. I knew that Seph was a special person. I followed his path, congratulating his entry and graduation from Harvard. When he came back to St Paul and joined the St Paul Police Department we talked about why law enforcement. He lead an exemplary life.
