ANNOUNCEMENTS

It is with a great deal of sadness that I have to let all of you know that Linda Druck passed away this evening. She had a stroke a year ago and never recovered. Recently she was receiving hospice care. Her boyfriend Reg was with her and said she passed away peacefully. Rest in Peace Dear Linda.

I am sorry to pass on the news that my loving partner of thirty years, Linda Druck, passed on at 5:44 this afternoon. I was fortunate enough to be there, I saw her take her last breath. I want to thank everyone that has been so supportive to us over the past year and more. I ask that in lieu of flowers please give generously to Linda's favorite charity, the ASPCA.

There will be a gathering/shiva at her brother's apartment, this Wednesday at 7PM. The address is Apt. 12 H, 740 Mississippi River Blvd S. Saint Paul. Please come if you can and bring your favorite Linda stories.

January 26, 2018

My dear family and friends, things have not gone well for Linda lately. Her quality of life has been on the decline for weeks now, which is why we enrolled her in hospice. Recently Linda’s Health Care Directives came into play as it became clear that living as she is was not what she wanted.

Therefore, as her guardian, I made the decision to stop her feeding and move her into the final stages of life. It is my duty as her guardian to put Linda’s welfare over my own feelings. But truthfully, I feel that Linda has had it rough for a while and as I re-read her HCD and then looked at her condition, the choice became obvious.

I know this will come as a surprise to some of you. Others will have seen it coming. Regardless, I am aware of the pain and sorrow this news may bring you and you are not alone. Try to believe it is the best thing for Linda and according to her wishes. All of you please try to be at peace with this decision and don’t let the thought of her passing hurt you too much, Linda wouldn’t want that.

So this is where I find a pleasant way to tell you that it would be a good idea to plan your visit to see Linda soon. She sleeps a lot so I apologize if she does so in advance. She still might remember you and then again might not, her memory comes and goes I think. Don’t be shy.

-She is at Lingblomsten Care Center on Almond just off Como (near the State Fair) at Pascal. She is on the third floor in the Boss Neighborhood, room 337 on the left. Please come see her, I know she would love the attention!

And about me. I am really not too bad with this, but that might change a bit in the next two weeks or so. And even though I have a mild phone phobia, please feel free to call: 651-645-9351. Oh and if you know someone off-Facebook that would want to know, please pass this on, thank you.
I love you all. Thank you for all the support you have given us over the past year, you are all angels.
Reg
