Harroll O. HARRIS Obituary

(a.k.a. HH, Harry, H2O) age 65, of Minneapolis passed away at home surrounded by family on September 25, 2014 after a brief battle with lymphoma. He retired from Honeywell after 33 years and was a member of Teamsters Union Local #1145. He was preceded in death by parents Merle and Pearly (Gardner) Harris. He is survived by wife Ella, five children, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, siblings Joyce (Errol) Johnson, Trent Harris and a host of other relatives and friends. A Life Celebration/Service will be held at the Carlton Artist Lofts-Community Room 2285 University Ave. W. St. Paul, MN 55114 on SUNDAY October 5, 2014 at 2 PM.

Let me be the first to comment here how much I liked Harroll!  He was a charmer and a bad boy; those kind of went together.  When he died there was an article in the Strib in addition to the obit, and a good librarian would be looking for that (OK Bunny, I will).  But what struck me about the article was that it talked about what an upstanding man he had become, a mentor and what I would call a mensch.  I was somewhat surprised, but not totally. There was something fundamentally good in this man, all along.   Rest in peace, Harroll.
